Here's a bunch of musicians comes along once in a lifetime. The legendary Hammond organ playing of Australia's answer to Jimmy Smith 'Mr Col Nolan' with the voice of classic Rock n Roll 'Mr John Brownrigg' performing together with their own band 'The Mekanix'.

The all new show is''THE HOUSE OF THE RISING SUN IN CONCERT'. Col, John & the Band take the listener on a musical journey through the classic tunes of roots rock n roll circa 1960's through 70's. Taking us from Elvis to The Merseybeat & the Beatles, Eric Clapton, The Rolling Stones plus the Hammond Organ classic Procul Harem's - 'Whiter Shade of Pale' onto the sixties guitar classic - 'Classical Gas' the soul of Wilson Pickets - 'Midnight Hour' to Woodstock & Crosby Stills & Nash's - 'Love the One You're With' to the Kinks & Who classics - including 'Who are You' from TV's CSI series - The show presents 'live' the best music of the two decades that made rock n roll truly Rock. It's time to get back to the music. Played by true musicians and performed 100% live. This is a classic good times rock band

John Brownrigg has been known in the past to leave an audience captivated with his rich soulful spirit filled voice. His voice has an old school flavour with a new school sprinkle. An easier way to say it would be Freddie Jackson meets Brian McKnight. Singing is as important as breathing is to him.

The Mekanix boast a band roster of the best: Australia’s greatest Hammond Organ player
Col Nolan a legendary figure on the Australian Jazz scene, and the undisputed master of the Hammond Organ. The piano and keyboards swing to life when he's at work. His many bands have supported visiting artists such as Benny Goodman, The Modern Jazz Quartet and Dave Brubeck. As a member of Galapagos Duck he led the most exciting rhythm section in Australia. Col was a foundation member of the Daly Wilson Big Band.

Mekanix band leader JOHN BROWNRIGG: is a renowned international musician and vocalist. A rock n roll survivor from the Cavern Club in Liverpool UK circa 1962-5. A founding member of (Australia) 'Feelgoods' 1966 and 'The Sect' 1969 (Johns 1974 Havoc album 'Star Spangled Banger' is soon to be re released on 'AZTEC Records' after the success of his collaboration album of 1973 re issue 'BOY FROM THE STARS' by Jim Keays) is now resident once again in Australia.

A session singer, a live performer and a rocking jazz, blues and soul musician of many years experience playing across the Globe from Liverpool England to Darwin Australia. Songwriter and producer for many fellow performers in the 80's to the best tribute to John Lennons music 'IMAGINE THAT' which John performed at the legendary Cavern Club in Liverpool UK in the 90's. Now the fruition of all his experience is presented in MEKANIX . "I love the classic blues roots rock songs of the Golden Age of Rock and here I get to sing them again but with a feel that is in part jazz in part blues and all soul".

John Brownrigg formed the MEKANIX several years ago and since they have performed across the Globe. The live shows at The Cavern Club in Liverpool UK are amongst those highlights. Back in 2000 John was invited to make a return to the Cavern and perform at a 'Celebration of the Sixties' Concert. It was for one gig only ... three weeks later he was still there. Playing at the London Jazz & Blues Festival 2002 was another highlight. In Sydney 'MEKANIX' are the band of choice for the bi annual 'Cystic Fibrosis' and 'PRAMMS' balls and the annual 'Black & White Ball'.
